What packaging do dispensaries need for marijuana products?

Requirements depend on your state and license type. Many regulated markets require child-resistant, tamper-evident packaging and compliant labels for retail products. Our California packaging laws page covers California; always confirm with your state regulator before you order.

What is the difference between child-resistant and tamper-evident packaging?

Child-resistant packaging is designed to be hard for children to open, such as push-and-turn caps and child-resistant mylar bags. Tamper-evident packaging shows when it has been opened, such as tear-notch mylar bags and shrink bands. Many products need both.
